This program is designed to offer parents & youngsters a large play area where they can participate in
games of their choice. Recreational equipment is supplied to encourage youngsters to development

Bangor Parks & Rec has started Preschool Playtime at the 647 Main Street facility. It runs daily, from 9:30-11, Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays. The program is free, drop-in activity.

Director Surya Mitchell, longtime musician, teacher, actress and dancer, brings music and movement classes to children from birth to pre-kindergarteners and their caregivers on Tuesday and Thursday beginning this fall. Bangor Public Library, with the help of a grant from the City of Bangor Commission for Cultural Development, offers free passes to the Maine Discovery Museum, located in downtown Bangor.

One pass per day is given on a first-come, first-serve basis (for one group of 2-4, with at least one child) to card-carrying members of the Bangor Public Library.
